This course will provide the foundation of laser therapy and its applications to chronic conditions typically encountered in a chiropractic clinic.  Participants will learn how to best use therapeutic lasers in the different stages of tissue healing to maximize immediate pain relief and achieve long-term resolution.  Dr. Marquina will address acute and chronic pain and dysfunctions in all tissues including muscle, ligament, skin, nerve, and bone. Auricular Acupuncture & Colds/Flu/Asthma

This 2-part course will focus on auricular acupuncture, as well as how acupuncture is used as an effective treatment of various types of lung disorders.

Auricular acupuncture is a microsystem technique that involves the insertion of various types of needles into predetermined points on the external ear, anterior & posterior aspect of the ear. Auricular acupuncture can be used for a wide range of indications, and it is especially useful to relieve pain, calm the mind, treat allergies and infectious diseases, regulate endocrine system disorders, and treat chronic disease and functional disorders.

This presentation will review the Lung Zang Fu organ and its functions. The lung is the main Zang Fu organ that is affected by disorders such as colds, flu and asthma. The course will cover the difference between the common cold and asthma disorders. The practitioner will learn specific treatment protocols in the treatment of the common cold, cough, various flu symptoms and the different stages of asthma.
