Mary Babian, DC, JD

Dr. Mary Babian received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 1974.  She then went on to receive her Doctor of Chiropractic from Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic in 1978 and has been in private practice in Tennessee since that time.  Dr. Babian earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Nashville School of Law in 2000.  Dr. Babian is active in her community, volunteering on the Board of the local no-kill animal shelter and bringing care to under-served areas throughout her many years of practice.  A long-time member of the TCA, Dr. Babian has also served her profession as instructor for the Doctors’ Boundaries, Ethics and Jurisprudence course for over 13 years, and in the process, has helped many physicians ensure solid foundations for successful practices.

Shannon Bone, DC

Dr. Shannon Bone was born and raised in West Tennessee. Growing up he loved to play sports, hunt and fish. After suffering a severe neck injury playing football and exhausting all traditional medical options with no success, he finally found help with chiropractic. This motivated Dr. Bone to become a chiropractor himself. Dr. Bone graduated Cum Laude from Life University in Marietta, GA with his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at age 24. The youngest ever to graduate at that time. Dr. Bone was so eager to graduate because he was inspired and passionate about helping others. That same passion exists today as he owns and operates Advanced Rehab and Medical and 45 Urgent Care here in Jackson, TN. Dr. Bone is an entrepreneur at heart and the subjects of business organization, communication, marketing and advertising are exciting to him. He loves to consult other business owners and share his knowledge as well as learn from other successful entrepreneurs.

Don Cole, DC, FICC

A native Memphian, Dr. Cole is a second generation chiropractor.  He often comments, “I did not choose healthcare.  It chose me”.  Dr. Cole graduated in 1979 from Palmer College of Chiropractic, the premier college of the chiropractic profession.  He holds both national and state board certifications.  A member of the American Chiropractic Association and the Tennessee Chiropractic Association,  Dr. Cole has served in virtually every elected position of the Tennessee Chiropractic Association, including president.  He is the only chiropractor in Tennessee to be awarded Chiropractor of the Year twice.  In 2004, Dr. Cole was awarded the highest accolade in the chiropractic profession, Fellow of the International College of Chiropractic (FICC).  Dr. Cole’s focus in on spinal orthopedics with additional interest in nutrition and exercise rehabilitation.  He believes that recovery is a co-operative venture between doctor and patient.

James Demetrious, DC, FACO

Dr. James Demetrious  is a clinician, author, educator and leader in chiropractic.  He seeks to elevate the chiropractic profession by distilling current research into meaningful context through practical clinical experience. Dr. Demetrious earned his chiropractic degree, with honors, from New York Chiropractic College and completed his postgraduate training through National University of Health Sciences. Demetrious has authored many articles that have been published in the journals Chiropractic and Manual Therapy (formerly C&O), JMPT, JNMS and JACO. He has served as an editor of the Journal of the Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedists. He has performed independent peer reviews for the medical journals Clinical Anatomy and Annals of Internal Medicine.

Jay Greenstein, DC, CCSP, CGFI-L1, CKTP, FMS

Dr. Jay S. Greenstein is a Maryland native. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland, his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the National College of Chiropractic, and earned his post-graduate degree in Sports Chiropractic at the Logan College of Chiropractic. In addition to maintaining his private practice as CEO of Sport and Spine Rehab and Sport and Spine Athletics, he is the founder and President of the Sport and Spine Rehab Clinical Research Foundation. Heidi Haavik, PhD, BSc(chiro)

Dr. Heidi Haavik is a chiropractor who has also earned a PhD in human neurophysiology. Dr. Haavik graduated from the New Zealand College of Chiropractic in 1999, and has practiced for over 17 years. She was awarded her PhD degree by the University of Auckland in 2008.  She is the Director of Research at the New Zealand College of Chiropractic where she established the Centre for Chiropractic Research.  She is also is the director of Haavik Research Ltd, a company that enlightens the world about the science of chiropractic (www.therealitycheck.com).

Jason Hulme, DC, Dipl.Med.Ac

Dr. Hulme is a graduate of Logan Chiropractic College and has been in private practice since 2009.  He has a strong passion for helping other evidence-based chiropractors excel in 21st century medicine. Pain science, movement pattern evaluation, treatment rationale and exercise prescription are not easy to systematically integrate in the modern day healthcare climate; however, Dr. Hulme works tirelessly in the clinic, teaching and consulting to elevate fellow modern day chiropractic physicians.

George Kousaleos, LMT

George Kousaleos, LMT, is the founder of the CORE Institute, and the Director of the XPECORE Sports Bodywork Mentorship Program. During the past four decades he has been a member of the Florida Board of Massage Therapy and the Charter Chair of the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. George was the General Manager of the British Sports Massage Team for the 1996 Atlanta Olympics and was the Co-Director of the International Sports Massage Team of the 2004 Athens Olympics. He is currently the coordinator of Massage services for the Florida State University Football Team and works with NFL athletes and NFL Combine athletes at XPE Sports in Boca Raton, FL. Brian Lieberman, DC

Dr. Brian Lieberman was born and raised in New York. He moved to Georgia in 1993 to attend Life University in Marietta Ga. He graduated in 1997 and opened Lieberman Family Chiropractic with his wife Rachel. They have two beautiful children and have gone on to grow one of Georgia’s busiest chiropractic offices with over 40% pediatric patients and almost all new patients coming from referral. They attribute that to their passion for chiropractic, their specific chiropractic adjustments, and the love of their patients.

Dr. Brian has served on the board of the Georgia Council of Chiropractic since 2010. In 2011 he was named Chiropractor of the Year, in 2013 he was voted Vice-president, and has been serving as President since 2017. Mitch Mally, DC

Michael Massey, DC, CPC

For the vast majority of his 30-year career, Dr. Massey has worked in and around insurance and regulatory organizations.  Whether as an in-house claims and policy consultant for large national payers, as a claims reviewer for personal injury carriers, a liaison to the largest commercial health insurance carrier in his state, or a subject matter expert for a nationwide managed care network, he has experienced the health insurance payer framework from about every angle imaginable.  In addition, he is a former chairman of the ACA Coding and Reimbursement Committee, currently serves as a consultant to several state and national organizations, and is regularly sought as an expert legal witness in cases of alleged malpractice, fraud, and standard of care violations.  He has years of experience teaching and training around the country on the subjects of procedural and diagnostic coding, documentation, privacy, compliance, Medicare, and risk management.   Meanwhile, he still maintains a busy solo practice, offering himself real-life experience and relatability to commonly-experienced everyday practice challenges and frustrations.

Morgan Mullican, DC, DACBN, CCN, DCBCN

Dr. Mullican comes to us with a great deal of practice and consulting experience. He is a 1988 honors graduate from Palmer College of Chiropractic. Before starting his practice in Dallas, Texas in 1989, he taught in the radiology department at Palmer College. He received his Diplomate in clinical nutrition in 1993, having one of the largest nutrition practices in Dallas for over 15 years. He opened up two additional offices in the Dallas area in the mid-90s and converted all three practices into successful multi-disciplinary clinics, utilizing MDs, PTs and DCs. For the last 14 years he has been a practice consultant for Breakthrough Coaching, coaching chiropractors and medical providers around the country on successful clinical and business practices. He is one of the most sought-after speakers in practice management at chiropractic state association meetings. He and his wife Dawn have 5 children and now reside in Gainesville, Georgia.

Laney Nelson, DC, DACBSP

Dr. Laney Nelson was educated at Western States Chiropractic College. He received his Certified Chiropractic Sport Physicians certification from Southern California Health Science University and his diplomat in sports from the same University. He received his acupuncture certification from Logan Chiropractic College and his Manipulation under Anesthesia credential from Texas Chiropractic College.  Dr. Nelson is from Utah where he was in clinical practice for 25 years prior to his hiring as the director of sports medicine at Logan University.  The American Academy of Chiropractic Sports Physicians selected him as the 2011 Chiropractic Sports Physician of the year.  Dr. Nelson helped develop Logan Universities Masters of Sport and Exercise Science Program and did oversee the internships, associated with the program.  His specialty is in the management of post surgical back pain and failed back syndrome.

Amy Owsley

Amy Owsley enjoys connecting members of the chiropractic community to high-quality content and sharing the good news about chiropractic. A Dallas, TX native, she moved to Nashville and obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Music from Belmont University before joining the Tennessee Chiropractic Association where she has been a dedicated team member since 2001. As Director of Communications and Membership, she has held an active role in numerous chiropractic awareness campaigns, including the TCA’s Realign Your Thinking campaign, and in developing member resources and tools which have significantly increased the reach of chiropractic’s message in Tennessee.

Josh Satterlee, DC

Dr. Josh Satterlee was a biomechanics major at Montana State University and received his doctorate in chiropractic from Southern California University of Health Sciences.  He is a board-certified chiropractic physician and Active Release Techniques (A.R.T.) provider.  He specializes in strength and conditioning, rehab, and functional movement and diagnoses. Dr. Satterlee has vast experience in resolving injuries and dysfunctions that occur in rotational athletes, especially golfers. Tiffany Stevens, ED, CTA, CXT

Alicia Yochum, RN, DC, DACBR, RMSK

Alicia M. Yochum RN, DC, DACBR received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Point Loma Nazarene University and then worked in the ICU for one year before matriculating to Logan College of Chiropractic where she graduated Sum Cum Laude in 2011. She completed her diagnostic imaging residency at Logan in 2015 and received her DACBR in October of 2015 becoming the first second generation DACBR in the history of chiropractic. She has performed editorial review for the Journal of Chiropractic Medicine and she serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of the Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedics (JACO). Dr. Yochum has published many articles in peer-reviewed journals and lectured around the country with her father, Dr. Terry R. Yochum, as well as in England and Germany. She recently completing her fellowship in musculoskeletal advanced imaging at Logan University with an emphasis on musculoskeletal diagnostic ultrasound. Dr. Yochum is now practicing with her father in Denver, Colorado.
